Look for 1 asymmetrical faceBe alert if you or someone nearby has a crooked face or different expressions on both sides.
Check 2 arms for unilateral weaknessRaise both arms straight out in front. If one arm cannot be lifted or drops down quickly, this is a warning sign.
Listen to see if speech is clearSlurred speech or incoherent speech may be a sign of stroke.
If any of these symptoms appear:
Call 120 immediately and tell the doctor “suspected stroke”.
For an unconscious patient: lay them flat and tilt their head to one side to prevent vomit from blocking the airway.
