Diabetic Patients with Infectious Complications Should Seek Medical Treatment Promptly

Diabetic patients have significantly increased risk of infection due to impaired immune function. Especially under hyperglycemia, bacteria can easily grow in the body, which highly likely causes infections. Common infection sites in diabetic patients include the respiratory tract, urinary tract, skin and soft tissues.
Symptoms often include elevated body temperature, chills, increased pain, especially when accompanied by signs of multiple organ failure. When the infection is not controlled in time, it may lead to sepsis and further trigger multiple organ failure.
When diabetic patients develop infectious complications, they should seek medical attention promptly for anti-infective treatment.
